Latin Name: Petroselinum crispum
Family: Umbelliferea
Height: 60cm

Parsley is a stimulant for both bucks and does which when fed for ten days prior to and during mating will increase the egg and sperm count resulting in larger litters. Breeders may find this of help if they have a doe, which has previously produced only one or two big babies. On the other hand those producing large litters might be better to avoid parsley during breeding.

Parsley should be avoided in high doses until the latter part of pregnancy as it is also a womb stimulant. It is also a very powerful urinary tract stimulant and should be used sparingly and carefully in urinary tract problems.
