Latin Name: Hieracium pilosella
Family: Compositae
Height: 15-20cm

Mainly used for respiratory conditions in human herbal medicine, it is believed to be mildly antifungal and useful as a poultice for wounds.

Constituents: Coumarin, flavanoids and caffeic acid

Actions: Relaxes the muscles of the bronchial tubes, stimulates the cough reflex and reduces the production of catarrh. Astringent and diuretic.
